Kartoon Kings: Simon Grennan and Christopher Sperandio
Simon Grennan and Christopher Sperandio's collaborative work explores the numerous margins between mass and museum cultures. The artists have collaborated on projects for the Museum of Modern Art & PS1MoMA, and museums in the United States, Scotland, Denmark and England. In 2006, Sperandio created and produced ARTSTAR, a reality television series now in its second season. ARTSTAR is based in the New York art world, and airs in the US on The Dish Network.

Their work takes the form of comic books, television, painted installation, and web sites among other media. Their working methods include public solicitation and shared authorship with people from various walks of life. They've had two solo exhibitions at American Fine Arts, a landmark New York art gallery. The pair have produced new collaborative projects in Germany, England Scotland, Wales, Spain, and France.
