Research Statement

Dr. Moake's research interests include microcirculation, thrombosis, platelet adhesion and aggregation. His research also includes the study of basic mechanisms of hemostasis/thrombosis under flowing conditions and pathophysiology of thrombotic microangiopathies.

Dr. Moake's Group was the first to describe basic mechanisms of platelet adhesion and aggregation under high shear stress and systemic platelet aggregation in the most extreme platelet clumping disorder - disease paradigms for stroke and heart attack.He has been listed in Best Doctors in America from 1995 to present day.
